Thesis statement: “Evaluate the influence of tourist industry to your country and society”.
Nature has favoured Vietnam with so many natural as well as man-made landscapes. Then there is nothing to surprise that Vietnam is one of the most favorite tourist destinations of the new millenium. The government along with national party have been transforming the country’s appearance sothat it would appeal more people to visit Vietnam, and to enhance Vietnam to be one of the best images in the world. In the opinion of the country citizen, I would like to raise strong points as well as weak points to illustrate for what tourist industry has affected to our country.
Obviously, all the Vietnamese who live in, or oversea compariots coming back this country have a great impression that Vietnam’s economics has made great strides, with an important role of tourist industry. Vietnam many years ago just a small agricultural country based a lot on importing foods and subsidized aids from many countries outside. In the last few years, our national government, with opened polices, had put some enforcements that allow many private enterprise companies in and out-come to invest into home country industry. Hence, a huge of invested capital flowed to tourist industry – the strongest point of Vietnam. The tourist industry developed, then it enhanced another industrial fields to develop themselves to approach the need of the tourist industry. Thus, it contributes a lot of benefit to the national budget.
Moreovers, the tourist industry, which has been enforced by policies, has changed the face of the city and the country. A lot of pulluted plants were moved to another place, far away from downtown and urban cities. Environmental sanitation has been improved and ameliorated. Some transportation has been prohibited or limited in order to leave the peace and quite for the tourist city. Infra and superstructure have been projected. The other non-smoke services have been enhanced to approach the need of travellers and citizens.
Furthermore, the tourist industry also contributes to the national policies to creat more job vacancies for nearly 120 millions of Vietnamese people. Like what I mentioned before, the tourist industry enhances many other industrial fields to get benefit from it, they were set up and flourished themselves via investment overseas , many factories were established. Thus, they themselves need more and more workers as well as many experts devote for the development of the city and the country.
Nevertheless, the tourist industry, which is flourishing days after days, has left behind its dark side. Under the process altering the infrastructure and superstructure, we indeliberately or intentionally destroy the nature so far. Many forests, many valuable and rare kinds of tree and aminals have been exterminated. Many range of mountains and hills have been rased to leave the land for other purposes – mostly just for the entertainment and for some projects of tourist. Besides that, the environment was also polluted by the very bad sense of travellers.
On the other hand, the tourist industry, without undercontrol of the government, easily creats along with it many bad social behaviours and evils. In some of famous tourist city in Vietnam, we easily see citizens there invite travellers to by some goods with insistence, or bother them to ask for money… service providers leave prestige and human safety behind, they just think about money, any work for benefit. The price increases terribly on occasion and vacation. Defraudation and argument usually happen at the tourist center. How can foreigners come back to visit our country if this state still exists and tend to increase these days?
Consequently, evrything has its bright as well as dark side. The point here is that our national government must impulse the law and policies to control the tourist industry, as well as the citizens have to alter their sense, in order to promote Vietnam to be one of the best tourist image all over the world.
