Topic: Imagination is more important than knowledge
In my daily conversation with some friends, we are sometimes taking consideration much about the importance of imagination and knowledge. To me, imagination is more important than knowledge.
Imagination helps us to color our life, makes it a lot more plentiful and meaningful. Obstacles at work and daily life burden our mood, make us always feel tense and depressed. Imagination about the future, about things, friends and people around leads us the balance in life.
Knowledge is the main factor for workers and engineers to deploy and apply academic science into practice, but imagination itself is the major kernel to lead innovation and to break out a new trend in technology and art. Without imagination, there will be no new idea, motivation and inspiration for researchers and scientists, as well as artistries with new creation and invention.
Moreover, the most important thing to me is that, imagination itself is the vital factor to create things around us that we use in our daily lives. The architect with his imagination designs a lot of construction, creates places for his people to live, to work, to travel. The carpenter with his imagination creates chairs, tables that we mostly use at home without knowing their origin. The scientist with his imagination invents trains, airplane together with a lot of means of transportation that we use to travel days after days. The writer and producer with their imagination make a lot of valuable achievements in art. All of them, without imagination, might not contribute those meaningful products that seem to be normal with us in daily life.
Consequently, imagination, in my opinion, is more important than knowledge. Imagination colors our lives, makes it more meaningful, and is the inspiration and motivation for the new things in this age.
